Prior to founding Geelon & Co. in 2010, Simon built a distinguished career in capital markets and investor relations.
He served as a Director at Ireland’s largest Capital Markets business, where for over a decade he advised leading institutional investors - including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and hedge funds across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
In this role, Simon specialised in institutional equities advisory and was integral in developing and strengthening relationships between publicly listed companies and institutional asset managers worldwide. He worked closely with senior management teams to connect them with global institutional investors, supporting both capital access and shareholder engagement strategies.
Earlier in his career, Simon gained international experience as a Financial Analyst at Citibank in New York and London.
Simon holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business & Economics from Trinity College Dublin. In 2020, he further enhanced his corporate governance expertise by earning a Professional Diploma in Corporate Governance (Distinction) from University College Dublin’s Graduate Business School.
